Sweetgum features music composed and arranged by Gwen Stimely, an award-winning songwriter who plays banjo and sings. Songs range from quirky to heartfelt, with lyrics and without, and reflect Gwen’s love of music and deep roots in folk, bluegrass, and other acoustic styles.  

Also featured on the album are a number of exceptionally talented musicians – Stephen Buckalew, Bill Stetz, Ken Shafranko, Steve Crawford, Jeremy Tosten, Megan McGarry, Richard Sleigh, Bob Bowers, and Marc Prave.

Some of these songs are performed by the Tussey Mountain Moonshiners. Most are performed by the Sweetgum Band.
